President Buhari, Hushpuppi Do The Same Work – Do You Agree?

Aisha Yusufu, co-convener of the BringBackOurGirls campaign group, has again blasted President Buhari, saying the 77-year-old Nigerian leader does the same work with Hushpuppi.

For Aisha, Buhari has not been transparent enough in his administration as many would be made to believe, pointing out that since 2015 he emerged as Nigeria’s President, Buhari has failed to make public his campaign donations and statement of account.

Hushpuppi was recently arrested in Dubai, United Arab Emirate, UAE on June 10 over alleged fraudulent charges, and was said to have defrauded 1,926,400 people.

On her official Twitter handle, Aisha wrote,

“Muhammadu Buhari @MBuhari and Hushpuppi are in the same business.

“They both defrauded millions of their money! Where is the 2015 Buhari campaign donations, statement of account?

“While Hushpuppi defrauded financially, Buhari defrauded both financially and politically.”

The Nigerian government had since reacted to the arrest of Hushpuppi in Dubai for alleged fraud.

The Chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NiDCOM, Abike Dabiri-Erewa said Hushpuppi’s arrest should not be used to judge Nigerians living abroad.

“I Can’t Call Myself A ‘Legend’ Yet” – 2Baba Declares (See Why)

2Baba held a session with a renowned music journalist, Joey Akan on his Afrobeats Intelligence series, and he made this shocking revelation.

I was going through the interview and I was personally enticed to how a “Legend” like 2baba humbly described himself when asked, “If he can call himself a legend yet”.

In his response, 2baba gave criteria of attaining a legendary status and not by just releasing hit songs only. Guess many artistes need to understand this criterion too.

Do you think you’re a legend?

(Laughs) Hmmm… For myself, like I said about things, I think I still want to achieve a lot of those things before I would actually call myself a legend.

So when people call me that, I think it’s because I’ve been for a while in the game. I mean, I’ve achieved a whole lot, you know.

But for me to have legendary status, I think it’s more than just being popular. I think it has a whole lot more to do with general, overall everything.

Me I dey think say I never enter that, because the title heavy well well o. That legend title, these days if you just get one hit you don be legend.

People play with that word. I mean, the word is dead. The meaning is deep. It’s bigger than the way people just talk about it these days.

These days, everybody na legend. But I dont think it’s like that. Legendary status na something else. When people call me a legend, it’s a huge compliment and I take it with great humility.

It comes with a great responsibility as well. For me, na heavy challenge. I’m working towards becoming an actual legend.

Let’s hope that I achieve all these things I’m saying. Then that time. I go come claim am myself say ‘yes.’ Hit my chest say ‘ehen the legend has arrived.

Zari Reveals Why Diamond Is Back in Her Life

Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan now says bongo star Diamond Platnumz is back in her life but just to provide to their two children.

On Friday, the mother of five lectured people who had criticised her after she said the two had worked out their issues for the sake of their children.

In a bitter rant on IG Live, Zari wondered why they thought that she was desperate to get back with him.

"The reason that he is back a lot of you are saying ooh she is so desperate, Diamond is desperate, how are you benefitting if he takes care of his kids? Two years down the line Diamond realized what his problem was," said Zari.

"A whole lot of you black women are the reason why black kids are not growing up with their fathers. A whole lot of you black women are the reason we have a lot of black boys roaming on the streets because you deny these guys a chance to do what they are supposed to do," she added.

Nigeria's DJ Cuppy announced that Apple Music has named her as the host of its first radio show in Africa.

Apple Music, the world second largest audio streaming provider has named the musician daughter of billionaire, Femi Otedola, Florence Otedola, who is popularly known by her stage name, DJ Cuppy, as the host of its first radio show in Africa.

The Washington Post reported on Thursday that DJ Cuppy will host the streaming company's Afro-centric radio show tagged, "Africa Now Radio with Cuppy".

The show is expected to debut this Sunday to the over 60 million Apple Music subscribers in 160 countries worldwide at 10 p.m. WAT (9 a.m. EDT).

The streaming service, a subsidiary of the Apple, the world largest company by market value, announced that the show will feature a mixture of genres like Afrobeat, rap, house, kuduro and other contemporary music. The one-hour show will be aired weekly.

The show will also feature interviews between DJ Cuppy and other African artists.

"The show represents a journey from West to East and North to South, but importantly a narrative of Africa then to Africa now," Cuppy said in a statement.

The recruitment of DJ Cuppy as the host of Apple Music's first African show is another feather in the hat of the musician. Apart from being the ambassador of some high-profile brands, in 2018 she was selected by Global Citizen as its education ambassador. In the same year, she was also announced as the ambassador for Save the Children UK.

Last November, she launched her foundation, Cuppy Foundation with the aim of solving issues around child protection and education for girls and persons with disabilities.

A kogi State musical artist (Rapper/Singer) "ANIKI ELIJAH ASSIGAMAA" generally known as "ELICOM9". Was attacked by some army Rubber gang last night in Lekki Face 2 at Lagos State Nigeria.
   According to the report we have, Elicom9 said the army rubbery gang came to his house around 1:30am in the night, they came with Rubbery dangerous substicated weapon i.e. Pistol gun, axe, jack Knife e.t.c. He said the army robbery  gang mask their face with quality face mask they stole his phones, Laptop, necklace and some money from him.  Elicom9 said he could recorgnised and suspect one of them due to his voice.
       Elicom9 is wheeling to take action to investigation though he was save and sound.
